LEOMINSTER — The Leominster Police Department is asking those who live in the area of Marguerite Avenue and Lincoln Terrace to stay hypervigilant after a man was stabbed with a boxcutter last night.
According to a press release signed by Police Chief Aaron Kennedy, at 10:03 p.m. Thursday evening, a man said he was driving on Marguerite Avenue when he was flagged down by an individual on the street.
“Upon the victim exiting his vehicle, the suspect pulled out a boxcutter and demanded money from him,” wrote Chief Kennedy. “The suspect then proceeded to slash the victim on the arm and head.”
After the attack, the victim was able to get back into the car and flee the scene. He eventually sought treatment at Leominster Hospital.
According to Leominster police, the suspect is described as a thin Black male around 25 years old who is 5 ft. 10 in. tall with short black curly hair, a thin beard and goatee. He was last seen wearing black jeans and an olive-green t-shirt.
