WORCESTER — Authorities are on the hunt for a Lawrence man who allegedly fatally shot an individual at Worcester State University on Saturday.
According to Worcester County District Attorney Joseph Early, Kevin Rodriguez,18, is wanted in connection with the fatal shooting of a 19-year-old man in a campus parking lot of Worcester State University.
Rodriguez, who last lived in Lawrence, is the second suspect police are looking to apprehend. On Saturday, following the shooting, an individual at the scene was arrested. His name has not yet been released.

Rodriguez is wanted on charges of unlawful possession of a firearm and armed assault with intent to murder. The other suspect was arrested for trespassing and possession of a firearm. Officials say no one involved in the altercation were students of the university and the incident was not random in nature.
Following a report of a fight in a campus parking lot at about 2:30 a.m. on Saturday, Worcester State University Police responded to the scene, where they found two individuals with gunshot wounds.

Both victims were taken to UMass Medical Center, where a 19-year-old man was pronounced dead and a 21-year-old man underwent emergency surgery. The 21-year-old man now appears to have sustained non-life-threatening injuries.

Authorities say Rodriguez is considered armed and dangerous. The public is advised to call 911 immediately if they see him.
