CARLISLE — The Carlisle Police Department is conducting an investigation into the theft of more than 200 LGBTQ Pride flags from the vicinity of the rotary in Carlisle Center.
The investigation began after police were notified on Monday, May 27, 2024, that over 200 LGBTQ Pride flags that had been placed in the rotary which is at the intersection of Lowell Street, Bedford and Westford roads, were stolen overnight, Carlisle Police Chief Andrew Amendola said in a statement.
The Carlisle Police Department is investigating the theft and is requesting assistance from the public.
“We are taking this very seriously,” said Chief Amendola. “It is unfortunate, as Carlisle is an inclusive community, and we want everyone to feel safe and welcomed here.”
