Worcester County DA’s office releases name of juvenile killed in Leominster crash

LEOMINSTER — The Worcester County District Attorney’s Office has identified the juvenile who died after he was struck by a truck on Sack Boulevard in Leominster last night.

Ezra Millard, 13, of Leominster, is the name of the victim of the crash.

According to Leominster police, at approximately 6:07 p.m., on Monday, Jan. 6, 2025, units from the Leominster police and fire departments were dispatched to the area of Market Basket on Sack Boulevard following a report that a pedestrian was struck by a vehicle.

When first responders arrived on scene, they located Millard after he had been struck by a 2018 white Chevrolet Silverado which was registered in the state of Maine. Millard was transported to Leominster Hospital with critical injuries where he was pronounced deceased a short time later, Leominster’s Police Chief Ryan Malatos said in a statement.

Following the accident, the driver of the Chevrolet Silverado remained on scene and cooperated with investigators, as did several witnesses.

The investigation is being conducted by the Worcester County District Attorney’s Office, the Massachusetts State Police Detective Unit, the Massachusetts State Police Collision Analysis & Reconstruction Unit, and the Leominster Police Department.

On Jan. 7, 2025, the Worcester County District Attorney’s Office said there is no update on potential charges at this time.

The crash remains under investigation.
