AUBURN — According to the Auburn Police Department, on Sunday, January 26, 2025, just before 2:00 a.m., officers with the department “responded to an automated report of a motor vehicle accident similar to that of OnStar.”
“Upon the arrival of officers, they were not immediately able to locate any accident,” The Auburn Police Department said in a statement. “A short time later, officers located a woman who was climbing out of a small body of water. Officers also located a motor vehicle that had driven off the roadway, down an embankment, and was now upside down in the body of water.” Auburn police didn’t specify which body of water the woman was seen crawling out of, or where specifically, in Auburn, the accident took place.
The driver of the vehicle, Jacqueline Sprague, 36, of Oxford, and a passenger were evaluated by Auburn EMS on scene and did not sustain any serious injuries in the crash, the Auburn Police Department said.

“As a result of a roadside investigation, Ms. Sprague was arrested and has been charged with Operating a Motor Vehicle Under the Influence of Liquor and Negligent Operation of a Motor Vehicle,” the Auburn Police Department said in its statement.
Sprague was arraigned in Worcester District Court on Monday January, 27 2025.
