CLINTON — Following an investigation, Detective Sergeant Miguel Martinez of the Clinton Police Department applied for and obtained a narcotics search warrant on Thursday, March 20, 2025, from Clinton District Court for the Summit Street residence of Mindi Segien.
The following day, at 4:53 p.m. on Friday, March 21, Sgt. Joseph Lefebvre, Det. Sgt. Martinez, and other officers from the Clinton Police Department, along with members of the North Worcester County Drug Task Force, executed the warrant at Segien’s residence.

“A tactical briefing was conducted, and all detectives were wearing raid gear and visible law enforcement credentials,” Sgt. Levebvre said. Later adding, “I knocked and announced our presence as law enforcement, and we proceeded to make entry through an unlocked side entry door.”

According to police, Mindi Segien, 38, is a resident of 59 Summit Street, Clinton, MA.
Once inside, all individuals, including Segien, were secured without incident, Sgt. Lefebvre said. Segien was provided a copy of the search warrant and read her Miranda rights, which she stated she understood. A systematic search was then conducted, during which the following items were located by police:
- A small green/yellow rubber container was found in Segien’s bedroom. Inside was a small amount of a hard white substance which, based on Sgt. Lefebvre’s training and experience, appeared to be crack cocaine—a Class B controlled substance. The total weight was less than one gram.
- A burnt glass pipe containing charred residue was also located in Segien’s bedroom. Sgt. Lefebvre identified the item as a crack pipe.
- A black digital scale labeled “CR” containing white residue was found in Segien’s bedroom. “I know through training and experience drug dealers use digital scales to weigh narcotics prior to packaging them for distribution,” Sgt. Lefebvre said.
- Two silver spoons with a thick white residue on them were located in Segien’s bedroom. Based on Sgt. Lefebvre’s training and experience, the substance was believed to be crack cocaine, a Class B controlled substance. The total weight of the crack cocaine was less than one gram.
- A glassine (i.e. plastic) bag containing a white powdery substance was found in Segien’s bedroom. Based on Sgt. Lefebvre’s training and experience, the substance was believed to be a cutting agent—a material drug dealers commonly use to dilute narcotics in order to increase profits.
- A glass measuring cup containing white residue was found in Segien’s bedroom. Sgt. Lefebvre said measuring cups are commonly used in the manufacturing of crack cocaine.
- A box of glassine sandwich bags was found in Segien’s bedroom. According to Sgt. Lefebvre, based on his training and experience, such bags are commonly used by drug dealers to package narcotics for distribution.
Segien was subsequently arrested for Possession of a Class B Substance.
“The bail commissioner was contacted and set bail,” Sgt. Lefebvre said. “Segien was released short time later.”
