WESTMINSTER — A multi‑agency child‑pornography investigation culminated in a dawn raid Thursday that ended with the arrest of 21‑year‑old Zachary Beaudet, the Westminster Police Department announced.
Acting Chief Jason Tamulen said officers executed a search warrant at 123 South Ashburnham Road at about 6:00 a.m. on May 8. The operation involved the Massachusetts State Police Cyber Crime Unit and Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force as well as police from Boylston, Sterling, Gardner and Lunenburg.
Investigators seized multiple electronic devices during the search. Police allege that evidence recovered from those devices showed possession and distribution of child pornography, leading to Beaudet’s arrest. He was charged with possession of child pornography and arraigned later that day in Gardner District Court, according to the department’s statement.
“This operation was a coordinated team effort, reflecting the strong collaboration and shared commitment of multiple law enforcement agencies to protect vulnerable populations and bring offenders to justice,” Chief Tamulen said.
