FITCHBURG — On Tuesday, June 24, 2025, at approximately 2:55 a.m., Fitchburg firefighters were dispatched to a residence on Ashburnham Street following a report of a building fire.
According to a statement from Fitchburg’s Fire Chief Dante Suarez, when crews arrived on scene, they were met with a single family home completely engulfed in flames.
There were no adjacent structures at risk of catching fire and no residents inside the home.
The fire escalated to two alarms and was brought under control in about 30 minutes, according to Chief Suarez. Four fire engines and two ladder trucks responded to the scene.
No injuries were reported.
