Motorcyclist dies after striking parked pickup on private property in Hubbardston

HUBBARDSTON — A 29-year-old motorcyclist was killed Sunday evening when his vehicle struck a parked pickup truck on private property on Streeter Road, according to police.

Police Chief Ryan Couture said the crash occurred at about 6 p.m. at 26 Streeter Road, a property with a long driveway. The collision did not take place on a public roadway.

The rider, who was operating a Honda motorcycle designed for both on-road and off-roading, was not wearing a helmet at the time of the accident, Couture said.

According to police, the Westminster Fire Department ambulance transported the victim to Heywood Hospital in Gardner, where he was pronounced dead.

The man’s name has not been released pending notification of relatives.

The crash remains under investigation by the Hubbardston Police Department and the Massachusetts State Police.
