WORCESTER — On Thursday, Jan. 15, 2026, at approximately 8:30 p.m., an individual suffering from a stab wound to the torso in the area of 544 Main Street, flagged down a passerby for assistance, the Worcester Police Department reported in a statement.
The passerby called Worcester police and Worcester EMS, and the victim was transported to a local hospital, where they were pronounced deceased a short time later.
A second individual, identified by police as Tailor Albert Quinonez, 40, was also located near 544 Main Street. In its statement, the Worcester Police Department said Quinonez had a wound to his forehead and a laceration on his hand.
Following witness interviews and evidence collection, Worcester Police detectives arrested Quinonez and charged him with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon and armed assault with intent to murder.
