SOUTHBOROUGH — The Leominster woman who was killed in an early morning crash on Route 9 in Southborough yesterday has been identified as 37-year-old Crystal Johnson Clementi.
According to Southborough Police Chief Ryan Newell, on Friday, Feb. 20, 2026, at approximately 2:51 a.m., the Southborough police and fire departments responded to Turnpike Road (Route 9 East) after receiving multiple 911 calls reporting a serious motor vehicle crash.
When first responders arrived on scene, they located the aftermath of a two-vehicle crash. Clementi, who was one of the drivers, was pronounced dead at the scene. The other driver, a 23-year-old woman from Bolton, was transported to an area hospital with injuries that are believed to be not life-threatening. In an update issued today, Chief Newell said the Bolton woman is still in the hospital.
