Postal worker seriously injured in rollover crash in Medway

MEDWAY — On Friday, April 10, 2026, at approximately 11:21 a.m., Medway police and fire responded to 30 Main Street for a crash involving a postal delivery vehicle and a pickup truck.

According to Chief William Kingsbury of the Medway Police Department, a preliminary investigation found that a postal worker, who was on her delivery route, was struck by a pickup truck, causing the postal vehicle to roll over. The postal worker was ejected and found trapped beneath the vehicle when officers arrived on scene.

Fire and EMS personnel from Medway and Millis stabilized the postal vehicle and extricated the worker, who was then transported by LifeFlights to UMass Memorial Medical Center in Worcester with serious injuries.

The driver of the pickup truck was also taken by ground ambulance to UMass Memorial Medical Center for evaluation.

Chief Kingsbury said speed does not appear to have been a factor in the crash.

Members of the U.S. Postal Service also responded to the scene to take custody of the mail and conduct their own investigation.

The crash remains under investigation by the Medway Police Department and the Massachusetts State Police Collision and Reconstruction Unit.
