LEOMINSTER โ€” On Thursday, February 12, 2026, at approximately 12:05 a.m., Officer William Taylor of the Leominster Police Department responded to the Whitney Carriage Park apartment complex at 124 Water Street after security reported a man loitering in the vestibule.

Officer Taylor said the caller said the individual was wearing a green and blue jacket, black pants, tan boots, and carrying a backpack.

โ€œI suspected the party in question was Miguel Bonaparte, a homeless individual who has become well-known to myself and other members of this department for repeatedly camping within properties he has already been trespassed from,โ€ Officer Taylor said. โ€œOn October 3, 2025, a security officer, Joshua [last name redacted], indefinitely trespassed Miguel from the Whitney Carriage apartments in my presence. Dispatch confirmed that trespass notice was still open on Miguel’s โ€˜mastercardโ€™ (a person’s record in this department’s computer system) while I was en route.โ€

According to police, Miguel S. Bonaparte, 34, is homeless in Leominster, MA.

Officer Taylor said that when he arrived on scene, Joshua waved him down and pointed out that Bonaparte was leaving the complex on foot, heading west on Water Street.

โ€œJoshua could not remember Miguel’s name, but confirmed he was the same individual he had recently trespassed from the property in my presence,โ€ Officer Taylor said. โ€œI turned my cruiser around and caught up with Miguel near the intersection of Water Street and Prescott Street, less than a quarter-mile away. Miguel matched the caller’s above description exactly.โ€

Officer Taylor stated that Bonaparte claimed to believe his trespass notice from the property was no longer in effect.

โ€œMiguel claimed that he had stopped in the building because he had been out walking for a long time, and a resident he knew there (whose name and address he refused to provide) called and invited him in, advising it was going to get cold that night,โ€ Officer Taylor said.

Officer Taylor informed Bonaparte that his trespass notice was still in effect and that he would be charged for this incident, as well as any future incidents in which security reported him returning.

โ€œI am requesting the Leominster District Court give Miguel a hearing to answer for Trespassing After Notice,โ€ Officer Taylor said. โ€œMiguel declined to provide any address at which he could be served a summons, saying he would check in with the court to learn this case’s upcoming date.โ€

Bonaparte was arraigned on a trespassing charge in Leominster District Court on March 9, 2026. He then attended a pretrial hearing on April 9, 2026.

Bonaparteโ€™s next court date is a compliance and election hearing scheduled for May 7, 2026.
