SOUTHBOROUGH — A 43-year-old Framingham resident was found dead Sunday after a kayak overturned in Crystal Pond, according to the Southborough Police Department.
On Sunday, June 7, 2026, at approximately 4:25 p.m., Southborough police and mutual aid partners responded to Crystal Pond following a report of a possible drowning.
A bystander on the shore off Crystal Pond Road reported seeing a kayak flip over and the occupant go under the water.
Southborough Fire and EMS also responded to the scene. Dive teams from District 14 Fire and the Massachusetts State Police were called in, while the State Police Air Wing also assisted with the search.
Westborough police also assisted with their Drone Unit.
Dive teams entered the water and found the body of the 43-year-old Framingham resident at approximately 7:24 p.m.
The incident remains under investigation. The Southborough Police Department said further inquiries should be directed to Massachusetts State Police and the Worcester County District Attorney’s Office.
