WORCESTER — On Wednesday, July 22, 2026, at approximately 12:35 a.m., Worcester police responded to the Victory Cigar Bar at 56 Shrewsbury Street after a man and woman were shot inside the business.
According to the Worcester Police Department, officers provided emergency medical aid to both victims using chest seals.
The man and woman, who were conscious and alert, were transported to a local hospital where they both underwent surgery and currently reported to be in stable condition.
As of Wednesday morning, the suspect remained at large, though Worcester police said there was no reason to believe the public was in danger.
The Worcester Police Department said the building’s exterior and the surrounding roadway were closed for approximately two hours.
The shooting remains under investigation.
