GARDNER — On Thursday, Aug. 27, 2026, at approximately 6:56 p.m., Gardner police responded to South Main Street following a report that a man was firing a gun in the street.
According to Gardner Police Sergeant John Braun, when officers arrived on scene, they located and apprehended the suspect without incident. Police also recovered firearms during the investigation.
No members of the public were injured during the incident.
“The Gardner Police Department would like to thank the Westminster Police Department and the Massachusetts State Police for their assistance and cooperation,” Sergeant Braun said.
The investigation remains ongoing. Sergeant Braun said additional information will be released as it becomes available.
