MAYNARD — On Thursday, Sept. 3, 2026, at approximately 9:19 p.m., Maynard Police Officer Matheus Alves was dispatched to Richdale Food Shop, a convenience store located at 5 Waltham Street, following a report that a man in a green hoodie was asking people for money in the parking lot.

Officer Maxim Howard also responded to the scene.
“Upon arrival, we approached a person who fit the description and was later identified as Jacques Desrameaux,” Officer Alves said. “As we approached him, he said he wasn’t asking anyone for money, he was outside the store only to use the Wi-Fi.”
According to police Jacques Desrameaux, 44, a resident of Maynard, MA, is divorced and self-employed.
Officer Alves and Officer Howard then went inside the convenience store to speak with the manager.
“[The manager] said Jacques was asking a customer for money and that he wanted Jacques trespassed from the property,” Officer Alves said. “Officer Howard and I went back outside, and I started to fill out paperwork for the trespass in the Richdale parking lot.”
Officer Alves said Desrameaux began walking toward the McDonald’s parking lot.
“As Officer Howard looked for Jacques’ full name in our system, he found that Jacques had a warrant out of Boston District Court…issued on Aug. 11, 2026 for Chapter 266 Section 126B — tagging property,” Officer Alves said.
Officer Alves said he then had the manager sign the necessary trespass paperwork for Richdale Food Shop.
“Officer Howard and I waited for an additional unit to place Jacques in custody,” Officer Alves said.
When Officer Daniel Tully arrived on scene, all three officers located Desrameaux sitting on a bench on McDonald’s property on 4 Main Street.
“It should be noted that Jacques has a trespass order from McDonald’s, which was served to him on June 26, 2026, by Officer [Anthony] Bordenca,” Officer Alves said.
At around this time, Sergeant Brian Petersen also arrived on scene.
Officer Alves said that as all four officers approached Jacques, he stood up near the bench. Officer Howard asked Desrameaux to come to them, but Desrameaux began walking away toward Waltham Street and off the McDonald’s property.
“Jacques walked towards the middle of the roadway disrupting the flow of traffic and causing a safety hazard to himself and officers on scene,” Officer Alves said. “We ended up making contact with him in the middle of the street, the traffic light became green and cars began to honk their horns at us. Officer Howard and I got ahold of Jacques’s arm, he began to flex it and tried to resist us from putting him in handcuffs. Officer Howard and Sergeant Petersen were holding his left arm, and I was holding his right arm.”
The officers handcuffed Desrameaux and then moved him out of the street so traffic could return to its normal flow, Officer Alves said.
Desrameaux was searched by Officer Alves and Officer Howard, placed in the rear of a cruiser and transported to the Maynard Police Department by Officer Howard for booking.
Jacques Desrameaux, 44, of Maynard, was charged with the following:
- Trespass
- Disorderly Conduct
- Warrant Arrest
Desrameaux’s bail was set at $200 cash. His arraignment was scheduled for Sept. 3, 2026, in Concord District Court.
