MAYNARD — On Friday, January 10, 2025, at approximately 4:33 p.m., Maynard firefighters were dispatched to 95 Powder Mill Road following reports of a fire that had engulfed a commercial property.
Maynard Fire Chief Angela Lawless reported that upon their arrival, firefighters found the fire had spread to the attic, prompting crews to strike a second alarm.
Crews were able to stop the spread of the blaze, although a portion of the roof collapsed.
Responding to the call was the department’s newest fire engine, which had just been put into service on Thursday.
“It’s important for us to have state-of-the-art equipment to respond to calls around town,” Chief Lawless said. “We want to thank the Town of Maynard and residents for their continued support of our department.”
No injuries were reported in the fire.
